Hey everyone, we are Juan and Neel and we’re building Milq - a mac application to vibe code iOS apps in Swift.

Milq uses a custom orchestration system that uses both on-device and cloud models, incorporating a build feedback loop to push builds directly to the local iOS simulator or user’s device. It also has simplified UI elements for managing Xcode-specific features - like external Swift packages and project configurations (display name, icon) - as well as database tables from our Supabase integration. Files remain local on the machine and users manage the entire process without needing to open Xcode.

Ultimately, our goal is to bring Swift to the masses. We both come from Swift heavy backgrounds in big-tech and noticed most of the mobile vibe coding tools (Rork, Replit, Anything etc.) use React. We want to show users unfamiliar with mobile development a Swift alternative.

Given the latest buzz around Codex App and Agentic capabilities in Xcode, we thought it’d be a good time to go a little public on something we’ve been quietly building since last year.

We’re currently doing a private beta with $100 of free credits. We typically use a white listing system but wanted to open it up this weekend so the HN community could try it easily without any blockers. We would be really grateful if you could give us a spin!

Looks interesting. My app is rather simple and I am too lazy to spin up a Xcode project for that. So here are my questions:

      1. Can I finish an app end to end with that 100$ credits? 2. Also, do you publish it for the user or I must setup Apple Developer account? 3. If I store data, can I store it in my supabase / firebase or I have to share data with you?

Not sure if I am your ICP, but let me know. I want to give it a try.

Hey thanks! You will still need have Xcode and Simulator installed but we aim to allow you complete your project without configuring Xcode.

        1) Yes but we're happy to supply additional credits if need be to complete your project 2) You do have to setup an Apple Developer account which means you will own the app you publish 3) Absolutely, we have a Supabase integration and you do not have to share that data with us

If that all sounds good, you can sign-up and download the build on www.milq.ai/hacker-news

I've been testing out milq for a couple weeks now and am genuinely impressed how it can create such beautiful iOS apps. Definitely recommend giving it a shot.
